Forex Trading - What Is The Hype All About

In currencies, The Foreign Exchange (Forex) market is the hot spot. The buying and selling of foreign currencies are facilitated by The Foreign Exchange for certain banks and financial groups. Forex is mainly in need because it facilitates trade and investment on a world scale. Forex is the greatest liquid market in the entire world. In 2007, the daily turnover of the Forex market was calculated at 3.2 trillion US dollars with the market showing no signs of stopping!High trading volumes, great liquidity of the marketplace, extensive geographical area are the inimitable traits of the Forex, besides its 24/7 working hours are the multiple features that has an influence in its huge exchange rates, and the support by the nationalized banks. There is very little cross-border regulation for the majority of Forex trades and moreover there is no unified or centrally cleared market also. There is however a number of market places (interbank market) that are inter connected where different currencies are traded, due to the Over The Counter (OTC) nature of currency trading. The significance of this lies in the fact that there is the absence of a single exchange rate and prices or rates vary according to the market and where it is situated. Fluctuations are generally caused by inflation, budget and trade deficit or surplus, interest rates, changes in monetary flow due to changes in Gross National Product (GDP) and Gross National Product (GNP) and other macroeconomic factors. An important aspect of Forex Trading is Trading on Margin. This is when one can actually buy or sell assets which are more than the available capital in one's account. Forex Trading is usually conducted with very small margin deposits. This helps as it allows traders to exploit exchange rate fluctuations, which tend to be very minute. In Forex Trading, Spread and Pep are the two most vital terms. The difference between the of the currency against it's selling price is termed as Spread, while the Pip is the smallest unit price by which a cross price quote varies.Forex Trading has found favour with investors and traders worldwide due to it's 24 hours a day trading hours, superior liquidity than any other market thus there is never any lack of buyers or sellers to trade with, traders do not have to pay any commission so transactions can be made as frequently as wanted without losing out on cash, there is a potential of profit even in falling markets as when one currency is losing it's value it can be used against another currency to gain profit, and it's 100:1 leverage where one can hold a position and trade 100 times more than his capital or margin deposit.
